rize is an EP recorded by caner teker within their residency at Kulturakademie Tarabya in Istanbul, inside a former hamam transformed into a chapel, now home to an old pipe organ.

The collection brings together the tulum—a traditional bagpipe from Rize, Turkey—the organ, and the piano, tracing breath, pressure, and resonance across instrument bodies. The tracks move between raw takes and layered textures: two bagpipe solos, a bagpipe fragment, a drone for old pipe organ, and a piano improvisation. They lean into fatigue, persistence, and residue, gestures of care and refusal, played into and out of air.
